Im from Nicaragua i grew up in a family of artists my father was a journalist and poet my mom a biologist and an artist in a way .

I was influenced by other friends as well mostly poets and painters at a really young age.

Empirically I learn about many artists such as Kandinsky, Monet and many others…

What really changed my life was acrylic painting I found so much fun working whit it, I remember spending hours in my room painting and listening to music, and since a young age, I was never interested in studying … I was forced to go to school, lol.

(I did 3 years of Medicine school I never when back to finished, and I’m glad I’m not a Doctor.)

I started traveling in Central America end up in Costa Rica I stay there for a few years I was only 17 at that time, I learn how to do piercing with a friend from a tattoo studio, that’s how I came to be close and close to the tattoo industry.

Working in a tattoo shop, I learned to do piercing at that time I have no interest in tattooing but still do painting and drawing in my free time.

After some years of traveling, I moved to the USA /Miami I was in my 20s already.

Still doing piercing, one day I decided to start tattooing my goal at that time was making little tattoos nothing special, essentially I was trying to make a little more money because piercing in Miami are really devalued.

From there my new journey started learning tattoos were and still are so complex.

It’s important to mention around that time 2010 it was really hard to learn how tattoo artists at that time were assholes! They didn’t like anyone to learn anything and it was little information online (some tattoo artists are still assholes, lol).

One day I had a client from Belgium emailed me to get some more tattoos from me, he was trying to go back to Miami just to get tattoos by me, and I thought….I never been to Europe it will be nice to visit and work, I speak French so, it won’t be so hard to get around.

Europe in general was a wake up for me, seeing so much great architecture, foods. different cultures…. Museum… it was a 1-year journey and traveling I think I lost my sense of being part of one particular country, more of a generalized view -I fell from everywhere in general!

After some time in many places in Europe, my vision of art and tattoos was finally meeting, perhaps I’m still a student of my own style.

I realized that there’s more to unravel.

Then old school tattoos or American traditional, realistic, which are great styles.

I was looking for something else so little by little, I transition my work from paper or digital drawing to drawing directly on the skin and then doing the tattoo (freehand tattoos). Specific ally, Abstracts Tattoos.
I specialize in Abstracts tattoos mostly colors but I enjoy doing black and gray, the most important it’s the idea of peace. I truly believe that peace must be good for the eyes as far as having harmony, and balance …. but also good for the mind making you think, feel, make you feel confused about what is in front of you or hated. Any emotion is good.

I don’t really have a favorite tattoo or painting. I enjoyed the process of doing it, the creation it’s the greatest feeling it’s a sense of being part of the peace and let it go.

I like to express a sense of uniqueness in every piece.

The idea of painting directly on the skin came to me after many years of traditional stencil transfer tattooing. I enjoyed doing this, but it was not what I was looking for.

I realized stencil/transfer tattooing didn’t work for me. I felt the stenciled designs were too rigid, like a sticker on the body, acceptable, but separate from the person. The movements I wanted to express within a piece were missing.

No harmony. No freedom.

After years of traditional tattooing, I thought “why not paint directly on the body?” Like painting a canvas, but with the intention of tattooing the design after.

I’ve painted for many years, as far back as I can remember, mostly acrylic, and that has informed my understanding of brush technique and colors.
